I was just checkin the site if it's still rolling, and i found out that the last post was in December, shame on me.
Tons of things happend meanwhile (it would be strange if there wasn't), at the moment i'm working on a new record, as usual it takes a long time, remember i should get the award for slowest writer in the world.
I decided to take a bit more easy with the shows, as i really want to focus on a new record, but of course i can't stay at home that long, so i'm working my ass of to hit the road again as much as possible.
So I will do 3 shows later this month with Dave Hause and in May i will hit the road again with a bunch of my friends for another fullband tour (Click on the Tour button for the dates). The band will have some new and extra faces. And i can't wait to play some songs with them. And of course we will bring an awesome support act on tour, this time it will be Cis (from the Austrian band the Liberation Service). Check out his new video: http://youtu.be/T31cXKVTK6M
It's been a little bit quiet at the TVT base and it will stay a little quiet for the next couple of months, why? well there are a couple of reasons, first of all, the last 3 years has been hectic, lots of touring (probably over 400 shows), i lived in 3 different countries (and moving is such a pain in the ass), so a little rest is probably the best thing to do.
But rest doesn't mean i'm doing nothing, it's about time to write a new album, so i'm slowly working on it. I'm also building a studio together with the old man (daddio) in the new house. I'm booking the tours and shows for 2012, and last but not least, i'm doing some work for EminorSeven.
I will play one show in January in Trier to start the new year.
And the first tour will be in May (in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland and Sweden), more news about that soon.
Overview 2011:
2011 has been a crazy and busy year where tons of great but also sad things happened. I started the year by joining the guys of Antillectual, where i had a great time, great musicians and great tours, i learned a lot, i also learned that it's not possible to combine 2 fulltime project, so i'd to quit Antillectual if i wanted to keep on going solo, and so i did.
In May we did the first band tour which was such a great experience, we liked it so much that we decided to do this every year (soon more about that tour in 2012).
After going on tour with Antillectual in Russia, i did get an invitation to do a solo tour. So me and my buddy Mark took the plane to Russia for one of the most special tours so far. Long distances, lots of traveling and lots of lovely people, Russia we will be back in 2012.
I released 2x 7inches this year, did over 150 shows, played in front of 7 people and played infront of 6.000 people, i drove more than 40.000km with my own van, i drove over 20.000km with the guys from Antillectual. I'd played shows in 15 different countries, i broke 3 guitars and made tons of new friends, thank you all for 2011.
Enjoy the last days of 2011 and we will see each other in 2012.
The Russia tour has been great, and luckily Mark filmed a big part of our 2 week tour through this big ass country. We made a little montage to share it with you.
